Recording Clerk
Term of
Commitment: Two years.
Duties: The
Recording Clerk takes minutes at each business meeting and arranges for these
to be printed in the monthly Newsletter and collected in a volume available in
the meetinghouse for Friends to consult. S/he should help the clerk with any
Meeting correspondence and record keeping.
S/he (in conjunction with the Recorder/Archivist) should prepare by
sixth-month of each year an annual report to Yearly Meeting that includes the
activities and census data for the Monthly Meeting. S/he serves as secretary of the Corporation.
Qualifications: The Recording
Clerk must have the ability to summarize quickly the “sense of the meeting'' in
a recorded “minute,'' and the willingness to relate the collected minutes to
the Newsletter Editor in a timely fashion.
Frequency
of Commitment: The Recording Clerk is expected to attend each
monthly business meeting and the annual corporation meeting.
